Bearings used in furnaces are generally lubricated with conventional solid lubricant. Yet, this bearing type requires additional lubrication after short periods of time. For that reason, there is a strong need for a bearing that can be continuosly used at high temperatures, for a long period of time.
The use of conventional materials, such as ordinary solid lubricants, does not satisfy durability requirements for high temperatures and low pressure environments, as in deposition equipment at low pressure.
In response to this need, NSK developed the SJ solid lubricant bearings, which ensure maintenance free performance and durability in high temperature conditions and low pressure environments.
