Results of an evaluation under atmospheric pressure conditions show that the use of bearings with conventional solid lubricant presents fault after 30 hours. SJ bearings (with cage) achieved better performance than that of conventional bearings, as evidenced by the following results:
- durability six times superior than that of bearings with conventional solid lubricant and two times higher than that of SJ bearings without cage;
- under low pressure conditions, silver coated bearings presented excessive torque, which doubles after 650 hours. Even after 700 hours, work torque of SJ bearings keeps falling, reflecting adhesion quality and uniformity of this equipment.
- the result of SJ bearing analysis under high temperature conditions in low pressure environments shows low outgassing, even after being heated at 300°C.
