These bearings comprise a inner ring with two races, outer ring with ball race and rollers with ball roller surface. As the outer ring ball race center coincides with the bearing center, self-aligning can be done as in the self-aligning ball bearings. Consequently, aligning errors in shafts and housings or bendings in the shafts are automatically adjusted, preventing abnormal loads on the bearing.
Self-Aligning Rollers enable the support of the radial load and, in both directions, of the axial load. Radial load capacity is high and this equipment is suitable for applications with heavy and shock loads.
Tapered bore bearings may be installed directly on the tapered shaft, or on the cylindrical shaft, by using adapter or dismounting bushings.
Steel pressed, brass machined and polyamide cages are generally used.
